I Just Uploaded "Compilation of Classic TV Footage - Episode 4" - Please Move (is anyone enjoying this series?) |
http://www.archive.org/details/CompilationOfClassicTvFootage-Episode4Is anyone enjoying this series? I plan to do at least 4 more episodes even if it fails, but I don't currently know if there is anyone who likes it. If even just one person likes it (the first two episodes don't count, since they were just an excuse to re-use clips from a failed YouTube series of mine called "Compilation of Miscellaneous Footage", and as such have a much faster editing style), that would be reason enough for me to continue.

Re: I Just Uploaded 'Compilation of Classic TV Footage - Episode 4' - Please Move (is anyone enjoying this series?) |
I'll watch them when I can, but it's not always easy with our ongoing family health crises. I come here mainly to escape reality a few minutes at a time. But I did see on the thumbnails of this upload, something about a Kodak Brownie movie camera, and I dearly love those Kodak ads. I'd love to have one of those old Kodak Brownie 8mm cameras as a souvenir on my bookshelf, a reminder of the good old days when home movie making was something unique and special, almost mystical. And we had to capture our images with strict economy, since a roll of film ran only a few scant minutes, so we learned to "edit" our shooting in-camera, stopping and starting in order to capture on film only the most essential scenes, instead of just turning on the camera and letting it run ad infinitum.
End of ramble. :)

A canister of 8mm film only held 3 minutes, didn't it Cos?

I believe so. I remember shooting Regular 8mm with my old wind-up Bolex, having to turn the roll over halfway through.
A Super 8 cartridge ran a whole 3 minutes and 20 seconds! :)

You should. Good film. It's about kids making "indie" films with Super 8 film and camera and a problem they and their town have. I won't tell anymore. I will send the trailer.

I've seen the trailer and know about the film, I'm just not interested in it. I don't pay much attention to modern movies, as I would rather watch vintage films.

I said that I saw the trailer, not the movie. I'm just not interested in modern sci-fi or horror movies. I'd rather use what time I have to watch older films.
